It is a great starting point for looking into microfinance institutions (MFIs) around the world.

it’s of interest to me how few of those top 50 are on the continent of africa, and i wonder why that is? yes, yunus and his remarkable ASA is at the top, but moracco, ethiopia, tunesia, maybe one other, any thots on why the small representation of top 50 in africa?
